Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile

Contrary to what most people think, Cleopatra was not a raving beauty. But that didn’t matter because she was a pharaoh of Egypt. During her short reign, she had liaisons with Caesar and Marc Antony. These unions produced a son with Caesar and three children with Antony. Brilliant in her ambition to be the most powerful ruler of Egypt, Cleopatra ruled the Ptolemaic dynasty with charm and cunning. Although there is much speculation as to how she died, many scholars have stated that it was an asp that killer her – whether she provoked the asp or not – it may have been suicide. Antony killed himself when he was defeated in the battle of Actium. And we all know what happened to Caesar! Et tu, Brutus?
